Back Up Your Data!! It is a terrible feeling, and I would bet that a lot of you have experienced it. A file, picture, program etc has all of a sudden decided to disappear. Maybe it was accidently deleted, or maybe your hard drive failed. Can you get it back?
If you had a reliable backup the answer would more than likely be yes. There are many different ways to create reliable backups of your critical data. The preferred method will vary depending on the size of the files and or data that you need to back up, what hardware you have available, what software you have available, and how often you need to actually perform a backup. If you only have a few things that are critical you may only need to use a single blank CD. If you have larger files and a DVD burner, backing up to DVD-R may be an option. If you have a large amount of files/data, an external hard drive may work perfectly.
